Casseroles! These were a staple at home when I was growing up, and I still love them.

Recently my girlfriend asked where I'd like to go to celebrate my birthday. Given all sorts of choices (and Los Angeles really does offer a lot of restaurant choices), I told her, "Truth is, I'd rather have you fix one of your excellent casseroles. Nothing matches up to a Great Casserole for a Great Celebration."
